-(space), written and directed by Chris Ajemian, premiered in August of 2001 as part of the Ontological-Hysteric Theatre's Blueprints Series. Using song, dance, and animated projections, -(space) chronicled the progress of its main character -- a cleaning lady -- through a surreal metaphysical cafeteria. After the conclusion of its run in the Blueprints series, -(space) ran for another weekend in an actual cafeteria - the 3rd floor performance space at the Variety Cafe on 48th street, where most of the play was written.
